About Evan Hauser

Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Evan Hauser has dedicated over a decade to advancing research and global access to plant medicine. His work bridges traditional knowledge with modern science, fostering collaboration and understanding in a field where cultural respect and scientific rigor must go hand in hand.

In 2014, Evan founded Ibogarite, a private venture committed to data collection and the sustainable production of ibogaine. Through this initiative, he built and maintained partnerships between African tribes and families and leading analytical laboratories in Western countries. His efforts have strengthened access to fair-trade, responsibly sourced plant biomass, ensuring that indigenous communities remain active participants and beneficiaries in cultivation projects.
Working in long-term, mutually beneficial collaborations, Evan has helped support cultivation efforts that respect cultural traditions while also meeting the standards of international research. By emphasizing real, verifiable data gathered from diverse sources, he and his collaborators have contributed to the creation of the world’s largest research database of Iboga and related African plant samples. This work provides new insights into the mysteries of sacred, indigenous-honored plants and creates opportunities for both scientific discovery and cultural preservation.
